We've had to watch it on the tv, having a BBQ here today. Got all great grand dads war stuff out on a table for everyone to see and talk about too, letting the kids look through his badge collection that are all pinned to his old belt. Had to stop people from touching the flags though, they're getting too brittle and falling apart. The parade is showing on the tv and we're watching Gallipoli later on tonight.

Want to have them restored and preserved but that costs money i can't afford to put out. Offered the Red Cross banner to the Australian War Memorial Trust but they said it would only be stored away where people can't see it.
