Police Release Photo of Couple OD'd with Child in Car
The East Liverpool, Ohio Police Department shared two photos of a couple found in a car after both overdosed on heroin. Their 4-year-old son was also found in the car with them. Police decided to make the photos and police report public in an effort to highlight the growing heroin addiction problem in Ohio. The parents are identified as 50-year-old Rhonda L. Pasek and 47-year-old James Lee Accord. The arresting officer wrote that they were found on Wednesday, September 7 in a dark Ford Explorer with West Virginia license plates. The officer pulled the couple over after seeing the car “driving very erratic, weaving back and forth in the lane while driving on the yellow center and back to the right edge of the roadway.” A moment later, the driver became unconscious. Pasek was already unconscious and “turning blue,” according to police. The officer then called an ambulance. When they were removed from the car, the police officer wrote that he found a folded piece of paper between Pasek’s legs that contained “a small amount of pink powdery substance,” which was then taken to a lab. The child was taken to the police station after Columbiana County Children’s Protective Services was called. Pasek was charged with endangering a child, not wearing a seatbelt and public intoxication. Accord was charged with endangering a child and slowing/stopping in a roadway. The city of Weirton, West Virginia also posted the images and noted that both Pasek and Acord have had previous run-ins with the law. In October 2013 and March 2016, Acord was arrested for DUI and listed a Wellsburg, West Virginia address. Pasek was arrested for drug possession in 2011. I did some digging and found Rhonda's Facebook. Rhonda, you sure look better sober! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: Police Release Photo of Couple OD'd with Child in Car
Wow....that's fucked up. So he pulled them over and just let them die? It says he called an ambulance, but I've personally seen Narcan save opiate OD victims lives on more than 1 occasion. I believe he could have saved them if he had actually tried or wanted to. Maybe put a rush on the EMTs. That's complete bullshit. I also live 1 state away so ive heard the rumors of the fentanyl and carfentanyl laced heroin over there. I know firsthand they could have been saved. Its all around my area as well. It's a shame that poor kid had to go through with that. |
