POLICE: Louisville Woman Punched Child During Anger Management Class

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman was arrested yesterday for allegedly punching her 10-year-old son in the face during her anger management class.

And it's not the first time she's been in the news.

Police say it happened on Feb. 4. 30-year-old Misty Lawson was taking the class when she allegedly punched the child several times in his face and body area.

A counselor witnessed the incident and reported it to the police and Child Protective Services.

He suffered from redness to the eye and a knuckle bruise on the right cheek.

Lawson is charged with fourth degree assault, a misdemeanor.

It's not the first time she's been in trouble with the law.

On June 6, 2011, we reported that Lawson, and then 29-year-old Derek Noel left a then 9-year-old boy and a 12-year-old boy in the back seat of a hot car, unattended.

It happened in the parking lot of the Kroger on N. 35 St., near Bank St. and I-264.

Police say some Kroger employees stopped a Louisville Metro Police officer and told them that two children had been left alone inside a vehicle. The officer inspected the vehicle and found a 9-year-old boy and a 12-year-old boy in the back seat.

The temperature outside, according to the officer, was close to 90 degrees, with high humidity. The vehicle was turned off and the inside was, "very hot," according to the arrest report.

Noel and Lawson were later arrested. They allegedly admitted that they had gone inside the store to get their pictures taken, and told the kids not to get out of the car.

Both were charged with wanton endangerment and endangering the welfare of a minor.

The bitch had already shown that she was irresponsible by leaving kids in a car alone, at that, in hot weather..... Yet she still had custody of her son?

This boy needs to be removed from that crack head abusive parasite before he ends up dead.

The problem here is these creeps are constantly only given slaps on the wrist. Fourth degree assault for punching a child? Get the fuck outta here. This woman should have no more contact with her kids, either.

so, the bitch leaves her kids in a hot car (which has killed numerous kids in the past) and her kids aren't taken away... she is caught punching the same kid in the face and it almost seems like she still got to keep her kids... maybe somebody will get the clue when the poor child dies. "why didn't we see this coming?"
