Forks were in use in in the Roman Empire 1500 years before any french could see them for the first time, many other evidences prove that they were in use even in ancient Egypt and Greece, thousands of years before. Honestly i don't know if it's true, but it's possible that Henry III introduced them to french after visiting both Poland and Venice.

Anyway, in my opinion is France's fault in this case: it was an argument between a private company and a gov.t and it should have ended there.
To withdraw an invite to an event at those levels will seriously affect the relationship with that Country, is just like US stopping diplomatic relations with Nordic countries, Venezuela, Bulgaria, South Korea etc only because they're requiring/promoting Open Source Software.

The comment from Kownacki was funny and not very diplomatic, but but Poland is fucking free to buy helicopters where and when they want.

Apache is an attack helicopter. Blackhawk is a utility helicopter.

Super Puma EC225LP and Super Puma AS332L2 (those are basically the same models as caracals which Poland was about to buy) are grounded in GB and Norway due to mechanical fault found after the crash of civilian chopper.
The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) issued a temporary permission of flight but British Civil Aviation Authority upheld the decision to completely ban all flights of British operators.

Ahahaha I've just read that this whole chopper auction was staged for the AirBus to win the deal and it was becouse of the desant ships "Mistral" that frech was going to sell to russia (and remember that russia was sanctioned and embargoed already for the Ukraine) but after pressure from international opinion they've backed up from the deal and this caracal chopper deal was going to be a compensation for France losses.

Btw french did sell those ships to egipt and egipt leased them to russia for 30 years if im not mistaken.

It's getting better and better :-) Egyptian billioner Nassef Onsi Sawiris (who gave money to egypt to buy those ships) made a decision to send those ships to Russia for symbolic 1 dolar.
The deal was agreed by Egyptian president Abd al-Fattah as-Sisi.
