Whoa. The only thing that is problematic about this system of consumerism and capitalism is that it goes to excess and ends up making a lot of people unable to attain what they were raised thinking they will attain. That this is coming from Russia is really something. Life in Russia cannot be compared to the U.S., neither can any country's standards really. Russia makes almost a third of its GNP from illicit trade and people there are neck-deep in swindling, backstabbing, crime, and fear. Quality of life there blows. Circumstances are different. I'm all for protesting, but please don't be one of those people who are like "It's so much better in France/Russia/Canada/Germany" |
