Re: Photos Reveal What It's Like Growing Up with a Hoarder Parent
I think I get the whole idea of hoarding and not wanting to part with stuff that you deem precious (regardless of whether it is or not), but what I can't get my head around is how hoarding seems to equate to absolute filth and living like a pig. If I wanted to hoard, I'd buy heaps of those plastic tubs and neatly sort and stack all the stuff I wanted to save. I just don't understand the filthiness part of it.

Maybe hoarders and obsessive-types could be placed together in a few of these homes together. The Obsessives would constantly be putting to order everything the Hoarders drug in.

Re: Photos Reveal What It's Like Growing Up with a Hoarder Parent
I have seen a house in Tinley Park, IL that was worse than this. The property also had two full size barns that were packed beyond capacity. The house burned down in 2008 due to an electrical fire that had been smoldering in the basement for three days (no one noticed).
