Peter Mayhew AKA Chewie
Mayhew, 74, died on April 30 with his family by his side in his North Texas home. He is survived by his wife, Angie, and three children. The Hollywood icon played Chewbacca in the original "Star Wars" trilogy, episode 3 of the prequels and the New Trilogy, according to a statement from his family.16 https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/02/enter...rnd/index.html RIP Chewie |

Re: Peter Mayhew AKA Chewie
I just read a story about how Princess Leia and Chewbacca hit it off when they met, and used to go to lunch all the time, at a Chinese restaurant near the studio in England where "Star Wars" was filming. She was still in her costume, and he was still in his Chewbacca costume, minus his head, so he could eat. It was a very funny story....

Re: Peter Mayhew AKA Chewie
From the way they described it, that picture pretty much sums up their relationship! (I don't know if that is really them or not, actually) Remember, none of them were famous when "Star Wars" came out. They were all just struggling actors. Then a week later, they were all world-famous. Still love Princess Leia in her gold bikini! |
