I can't say great things will come from a political separation. I often believe that has been the bane of the U.S...or more less in a socially rollorcoaster kind of way.

We have it pretty good here. We have a high standard of living, a huge land mass, and a bright future..... We have massive natural resources we are just starting to recover.

Canada is far from gun free, we just try to restrict handguns to people that pass a background check and a competency test. Up here its a privilege, not a right, just like a drivers license..... prove you can be responsible and you can have one.
