South Shields nativity 'finger bite': Man arrested
A man has been arrested after a parent's finger was "bitten off" at a South Tyneside school.

Pupils were about to take part in a nativity play at Harton Primary School in South Shields on Tuesday when there was a disturbance between two parents.

It was reported that a 32-year-old man had his finger bitten off. The incident was not witnessed by any pupils.

Police arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of assault and he was later bailed pending further inquiries.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "There was a disturbance between two male parents, and one sustained an injury to his hand which required medical treatment.

"The other man was arrested by police for assault and released on bail."

A spokesman for the school said: "We are assisting the police with their inquiries, and can confirm that the incident was not witnessed by any of the children, nor were they at risk at any time."

My theory is that they were getting a bit kinky and sucked each others fingers at the back of the play. Then one went too far.

Or am I just disturbed?
