Re: Paramedics Shocked at Gruesome Discovery

Thank You.

I have learned to work through it and to realize that no matter what money we threw at his medical problems, He would have lived his entire life with NO HOPE for anything any better than the best efforts of the medical team.

WE THINK (and certainly HOPE) that he was kept "COMFORTABLE" for those 37 days. We did not KNOW his comfort level, bu y KNEW that living an entire life attached to ventilators and monitors with no hope of getting these machines removed was not a good life. We thought about what he WOULD be able to learn and do and what he would never do, and I still regret that it took us 37 days to let him go.

Re: Paramedics Shocked at Gruesome Discovery

I have heard on advertisements the term "nose blind". I didn't know that it would be so in such extreme cases. H-2-S would have to work somewhat like lidocane benzocaine or novacane I suppose. ...just numb the offactories just like any topical painkiller.

I am curious as to how this case is disposed of for more reasons than one now.
Pink, are/were you military or LE?

if they are endangered by h-2-s, then you also have to watch for H2S(04) because THAT can eat them alive...depending on the potency

seriously oxygenating that can turn into real disasters. I cant imagine the horror.

Yep. First it stinks like rotten eggs, then you stop smelling it, then you lost consciousness and die of anoxia.

A few people in my province died in an abandoned mine because of it, including a rescue worker.

I agree. That wasn't fair to him.

If I may ask (if you'd rather not say I understand and completely respect that), what was the cause of your little one's problems?

Re: Paramedics Shocked at Gruesome Discovery

Recently have gone thru the hospital end of life processes myself. Never easy and tramatic as hell but.... In my experience it was monitered very well. They watch many numbers to figure out possible signs of pain. Bp, resp. Ect. Of course we never know but i think science has come a long way in this area. Thank goodness.

Re: Paramedics Shocked at Gruesome Discovery

You know...??? when I lost my baby son, I totally went on autopilot. I remember everything, yet Um still sort of numb to it all, and I have no doubt that if not for the rest of my family..my aunt "the rock" of the family, I would have done nothing.
I'm glad you had your Aunt - I'm so sorry you lost your little boy - x
