Paralysed Cat's Moggy Paddle

Paralysed cat Mog is learning to walk again - with SWIMMING lessons.
The tabby was feared to be crippled for life after losing the use of his front legs in a road accident.
But a local vet suggested hydrotherapy treatment - despite felines famously hating water.
And Mog is lapping up his 15-minute sessions at the 13ft-long pool, which is normally used by injured dogs.
One-year-old Mog could move only by agonisingly pushing himself along with his back legs.
But after ten weeks he has made a vast improvement - and owner Veronica Ashworth expects him to take his first steps soon.

Delighted Veronica, 62, of Lostwithiel, Cornwall, said: "Most cats do anything to avoid water, but he seems to really like swimming.
"The therapy is working and there's definitely improvement.
"He does a sort of funny doggy paddle. I think he realises it is doing him good."
Mog has his £30-a-time treatment at the Hawksland centre in St Issey with pet physio Ros Boisseau.
She said: "The first time I put him in he looked at me in horror, but he's regaining strength. I've never treated a cat with hydrotherapy before."

Re: Paralysed Cat's Moggy Paddle

When Max, the dog in my avatar's, back went out and paralyzed his back legs I took him in the tubby for rehab. The grumpy ol' wiener regained full use of his hind legs and lived another 8 years-ish.
Dang I wish I hadn't thought of him. Now I miss him so much. His replacement is sitting on my lap now, and the fat (but sweet and loving) bastard is making my feet fall asleep. Max only weighed about 11 pounds. Lardass here weighs 18 pounds. Down from 20.5 lbs. so at least that's good.
