One of ,"The Bavarian Dumbasses", Dies During Internet Stunt
Annoying music warning on slow motion replay. It appears the video was added as a tribute to the dead guy. 2:37PM BST 04 Sep 2012 The 20-year-old male died from head injuries after being thrown six yards by the spinning carousel in a playground in the Bavarian town of Oberviehbach. Part of a group known for posting footage of dangerous stunts on the Internet, the man, known only as Tobias, had been strapped by tape to the carousel, and then friends wrapped a rope tied to the car around it. They then climbed into the BMW and accelerated away, spinning the merry-go-round but the centrifugal force got the better of the man's moorings and sent him flying. "I heard this terrible scream and shouts for help," a woman who lived near the playground told the Munchner Merkur newspaper. "When I arrived my husband was already there and he was trying to revive the victim but it was useless. He was covered in blood and think he neck was broken." Medical officials said Tobias died at the scene, while two of his colleagues were treated for shock in hospital. Local police opened an involuntary manslaughter investigation and will question the surviving members of the group. Named the, "Bavarian Dumbasses", the group of six had often placed videos of their hair-raising escapades on Youtube and Facebook but following the fatal accident the footage was removed. "Such films should be banned from the internet," Tobias' father told the German newspaper Bild. |

The video was with the death article, but, it may have been added as a tribute. I did notice the guy who died wasn't taped down, as stated in the orginal post.
