Re: Official 2014 FIFA World Cup Thread
So Spain got spanked by Netherlands that would be considered a pretty big upset, no? 5 goals is a lot too. shoelessjojackson I guess your team ain't off to a very good start. |

Illusion Thanks for the thread. I will be checking it regularly. I will be watching the United States when they play Ghana. I know they probably don't have a chance to win it all but one can hope. |

Re: Official 2014 FIFA World Cup Thread
Spain have a massive problem, that being the majority of their team have only just finished either a Champions league, First Division or Europa league campaign. They will be absolutely on their last legs even before kick off. They also the team with the biggest target on their backs, everyone wants a piece of them. |

Re: Official 2014 FIFA World Cup Thread
And it was only by miracle it didn't end up worse for Spain: 11 shots on target for Netherlands. Spain looked more shocked and surprised than just out of shape. And GREAT performance by Netherlands, a spectacular mix of very young players supporting veterans like Van Persie, Robben, Sneijder and De Jong: they employed some very interesting and innovative tactics, with an asphyxiating pressing strategy when they had to defend, and total football when they had to attack. What's even worse for Spain is that if they won't avoid the 2nd place (which is very likely at this point), they'll have to play vs Brazil in the round of 16. |

Re: Official 2014 FIFA World Cup Thread
Yes Netherlands played almost flawlessly. I'm pretty sure not many would have guessed that outcome. Picking 2 out of 3 ain't bad at all. My picks for tomorrow.. England 2 v Italy 2 bet amount $20 Bet Payout:$380.00 Colombia 2 v Greece 0 bet amount $20 Bet Payout $134 Uruguay 3 v Costa Rica 1 bet amount $20 Bet Payout $260 |
