But seriously, Jake's dad is a cop of 21 years and like I said, I normally side w/ the cops, as most of the time it's the bad guy's own doing that gets them killed.

This one, I just can't, now. I realize anything could have happened, but there were 7 other officers there already and this one pulls up and within 6 seconds is blasting this kid with bullets. Although, as more details unfold and perhaps it will shed a new light on the incident.

Now, I just saw something interesting that pisses me off. This thug was a 17 year old ward of the state...so who the fuck did the city give five million dollars to as a settlement? Which family members came out of the woodwork to claim that bounty? The ones that were not there to raise him, apparently.

That said, when bad cops do bad things they deserve to be punished, like that cop in SC. Not necessarily because he killed a POS thug like Laquan here, but because they fueled the BS BLM movement to riot another day. When they're *actually* in the wrong, like Van **** appears to be, going apeshit and using their power for naught, they deserve to be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

I'm really, really sick, by the way, of hearing the people mention Tamir Rice, Michael Brown, and Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman was acquitted by a jury, get over it. Multiple investigations cleared Darren Wilson, get.over.it. And as for Tamir Rice? I know the least about the investigations that followed there, but the kid had a gun, and he definitely didn't look like a kid.

Got to keep in mind, 6 other cops held their fire because he hadn't pulled the knife out of his pocket, which you see him do in the video (I'm pretty sure). He got shot after he pulled it, and failed to drop it or follow orders.

Whilst 16 bullets is excessive, knowing how strong someone on PCP can be, and the way he was behaving, I think the cops knew well enough he was strung out enough to be dangerous with only a couple of holes in him.

In the end... fuck the drugged-up idiot, but also fuck the cop for not doing his job in a more controlled manner.

From the time the squad pulls up he has the knife in his right hand. Looks like his left hand is in pocket. Cpd most likely was yelling the whole time to drop the knife and show us your hands. This one looks like he was running on adrenaline, hate, and fear instead of training and brain.

Just because they pass all the prerequisite tests does not a good officer make. This guy obviously was a bit of a loose cannon. I do not think he shot him because he was black. I think he would have shot anyone in the same situation.

I do not think it is first degree murder. Voluntary manslaughter or murder II but not first. There are a lot of mitigating factors such as the mass media blowing the race issue up and for the cops getting ambushed.

I do not think they can prove malice aforethought unless this guy was involved in a hate group online or something. I am sure we would have heard of that if this was the case.

I just read that Van **** had a history of excessive force and once used a racial slur. They must have more than we know to charge first degree murder.
