Re: Nurse Discards Kidney From Transplant Recipient's Donor/Brother
That's beyond carelessness I had a femoral angiogram in 1996 and the clinician missed the obvious femoral artery and put the catheter needle straight through the femoral nerve. That type of error should not have even happened, I was told. Now I have an implanted spinal cord stimulator to help cope with the severe chronic neuralgia affecting multiple nerves |

Re: Nurse Discards Kidney From Transplant Recipient's Donor/Brother
On what grounds can this hospital deny responsibility, requesting to dismiss the claim, when the nurse admitted to throwing the kidney out? Sounds open & shut to me! |

Sharon, that is unacceptable!!! Was there any recourse? Did they accept any responsibility? You must have terrible pain all the time! I am so sorry that happened!

I agree. They should not only take care of all costs for the procedure, but all costs for future treatments and surgeries. Also, they should have to pay punitive damages, for pain and suffering. This is what an attorney is for, not for petty issues.

Re: Nurse Discards Kidney From Transplant Recipient's Donor/Brother
This is what happens when people decide to do things for themselves without following the chain of custody, for lack of a better term. I think the hospital wants parts dismissed, but, I don't know which parts. Either way, a good lawyer should have no problem |
