This literally hurts inside to see. God I hope they can save some of it. All the interior must be gone after the spire collapse though. I wonder if the window is still there. |

I was a firefighter from 17 to 33 years old. I never fought anything that massive but just watching I'd day nothing is salvageable now. The heat would be massive and it the heat alone didnt shatter the glass the cold water and pressure would. It will probably be a total loss I'm afraid but I hope I'm wrong

The spire did collapse... Apparently some statues were dismounted of the spire just before the works took place.... at least these will be saved from this fire  |

eyewitness saw an American postcolonian bird drop a wery small white package just before flying thu the celebration crossing where renovation works were going on. I found some vids but useless, as all were smudged with a white smear...  ·  ·  · |

Oh bloody hell, how sad. I remember watching a light show at night in the late 90s at Notre-Dame, it was so cool.

I read that ALL of the statues and artworks had been removed last week for restoration or something. Hopefully that’s accurate. |
