North Portland Taco Restaurant Riddled with Gang Gunfire
This is what I overheard while getting ready for work this morning. A bunch of assholes shooting up a 24 hour restaurant less than 35 yards down the street from my house. My driveway was inside the section of road the police closed to public traffic. Made my morning commute a real pain in the ass. I didn't see any thing, and apart from the obnoxiously rhythmic shots; bang-bang- pause- bang-bang- pause- bang, the whole scene was remarkably quiet . But shooting at 4:15 am? That's just rude Totally pointless. I don't feel any less safe, just irritated. Although, to be fair, Javier's Taco Shop does suck ass |

Re: North Portland Taco Restaurant Riddled with Gang Gunfire
Considering this is Portland, and the gang members were wearing red, it was probably more like this: ![]() Seriously, gang violence is not common here. Portland is the seventh safest major metropolitan city in the nation, and we have somewhere around the third lowest firearm homicide rates for men between the ages of 18-35 - the largest casualty group during gangsta turf wars. I'm not too worried |
