NOPD Officers Guilty of Shooting and Burning Guy in Car..NOW His HEAD is Missing.
Rebecca Glover thought the family's horror at what happened to her nephew Henry Glover could not be worse.  Shot by a police officer following Hurricane Katrina, Glover was left to die in the back seat of a car, which another officer later drove to a deserted section of levee and burned. Rebecca Glover said the guilty verdicts returned last week helped some, but the family is still hoping her nephew's skull will be found and returned to them. A federal jury convicted former police officer David Warren of manslaughter for shooting Henry Glover, after the unarmed man wandered into the area Warren was in. Former officer Greg McRae was found guilty of driving the car the dying man was in to the levee and setting it on fire. |

basicly because they were black. some latinos were killed too... There was ANOTHER big incident taken by the Feds on the danzinger bridge...What ended up happening was thatone of the guys shot (and killed) was the brother of a doctor WITH CONNECTIONS. they called it "looting" when black people were taking things from flooded stores as emergency supplies....they call it "desperaterly seeking emergency suopplies" for us white people. ALLLLSO....there were COPS taking TVs and other electronics....and TENNIS SHOES...ETC from a WalMart....THEY GOT IT ON VIDEO!! |

What were they hoping for by removing the head? Maybe hoping that the body would be burnt beyond testing and there would be no chance of dental records? How sad for the family.  |

No Amyjp, these guys were scared, panicky, idiots. His head wasnt missing when his body was discovered, actually ....I was there (not at the scene, but.....YKWIM) |

just a manslaughter conviction? why not murder and the guy who burned the body should of gotten a murder charge too. justice system to me is just screwed up!  and |

Sadly I actually felt a moment of vindication just knowing that they got any conviction. Many times cops can literally get by with murder. So the fact they got anything was a step in the right direction at least. |
