This is my first post, so bear with me. I am personally involved with this case, I cannot state "unknown" facts without being fired or endangering the case.

On March 22nd, of this year, 5 year old Noah Thomas was reported missing by his mother and father, in the small town of Dublin in Southwest Virginia. Noah was last seen by his mother, Ashley Jennifer White, 30, at about 10:30 AM, (911 call came in at 10:36). She stated to police that she "last saw Noah watching cartoons at 8:00 AM," then, "left him to take a nap with her 8 month old daughter." A massive area wide search began at 11:30 AM to find Noah.

Noah remained missing for five days, and two hours. On March 27th, around 1:00 PM, Noah was found in a covered septic tank on his parents property. His parents were arrested later that same afternoon. On the same day Noah went missing, his baby sister was taken into protective child services for neglect. Thus far, what may, or may not, be publicly known is Noah was alive when his bruised body was placed inside the septic tank. This can be proven since waste was found in his lungs, the autopsy has not been released, and is pending.

The unofficial cause of death is drowning. Manner of death is pending, but I can honestly say homicide. As soon as more information is released by the OCME or Police department, I will update this story. Both parents, Ashley Jennifer White and Paul Thomas are being held in the New River Valley Regional Jail without bond, under the charges of child neglect, and abuse.

Thomas was charged under a subsection of the law that relates to “reckless disregard for human life.” His charges are a Class 6 felony and carry with them a minimum of a one-year prison sentence and up to five years for each charge.

White was charged under two different subsections of the law. One charge, like Thomas’, relates to “reckless disregard for human life” and carries with it the same punishment. However, she is also being charged under a more serious subsection that is a Class 4 felony, which is punishable by no less than two years and no more than 10 years.

That subsection involves “serious injuries” to a child that were received under an adult’s care. Those injuries, as defined by state code include: “disfigurement, a fracture, a severe burn or laceration, mutilation, maiming, forced ingestion of dangerous substances, or life threatening internal injuries.”
