The military isn't some social club where you choose what you do and don't want to do. These people are tasked with defending the country and its citizens, and must remain combat ready at all times. A note from the doctor saying someone can't play rough today just doesn't cut it.
She joined the army, she got pregnant, she made poor choices. It is sad that she lost her baby but she only has herself to blame.
