If getting guns out of the hands of criminals were that easy, then they'd have done it by now. Most violent crimes involving guns are committed by prohibited possessors. All you're suggesting is that law abiding part of the population be left helpless in the face of armed criminals, because they're the only ones who'd have to give up their weapons. |
