Re: New Year's Stampede in Shanghai: 36 Dead, 48 Injured
How could anyone even want to be around THAT many people?! It grosses me out so much that I want to jump out of my skin. |

I agree, I avoid large crowds and especially large special events like New Year's Eve, anything can happen when you are jammed up and your movements are restricted

Re: New Year's Stampede in Shanghai: 36 Dead, 48 Injured
I have become so crowd intolerant now in my dotage, because of just this sort of thing. When I look back on all the rock concerts and demonstrations I used to take part in back in the seventies/eighties I practically bring on a panic attack, lol! Who the hell wants to be around that many fellow a-holes- er, uh I mean, people- anyway? |

Re: New Year's Stampede in Shanghai: 36 Dead, 48 Injured
Eleven fans died 35 years ago today during a stampede to the front of Riverfront Coliseum for a Who concert. Eight others were seriously injured in the crush, which happened as the crowd raced in before a December 3, 1979 show. I remember when this happened, I've been apprehensive about crowds and crushing ever since |
