NEW ORLEANS NYE VEHICLE ATTACK
From the AP:
“ Ten people were killed and 30 were injured after the suspect rammed a vehicle at high speed into a crowd of pedestrians in New Orleans’ bustling French Quarter district at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday along Bourbon Street.

The area is known worldwide as one of the largest destinations for New Year’s Eve parties, and with crowds in the city ballooning in anticipation for the Sugar Bowl college football playoff game at the nearby Superdome later in the day.

The FBI said in a statement that it was heading an investigation “with our partners to investigate this as an act of terrorism.” At a news conference, New Orleans Mayor described the killings as a “terrorist attack” and the city’s police chief said the act was clearly intentional.”

why are barricades not up!!! this is a failure that the local police dep own. there should have been proper barricades to prevent this very thing from happening

why are barricades not up!!! this is a failure that the local police dep own. there should have been proper barricades to prevent this very thing from happening
He had an automatic weapon and bombs in his truck. The barricade wouldn't have solved all problems

Any video that captures them being run over?
I’m only pulling from twitter, there was a live cam on Bourbon St. where it happened, but it only caught cops running to the event initially, and people running away afterwards

I get that totally. I just am baffled that the PD wouldnt use their SUVs to barricade off streets to prevent a truck from driving through crowds of people, which we see time and time again.
