It's really quite simple. If Israel retreated to it's mandated borders and decided that it's in everyone's best interest for Jerusalem to be an international city ( as was the original UN plan) then I'd agree with everything you're saying.

Conflict resolution requires looking at the perspectives of both sides of the conflict.

Jerusalem will never be a international city by giving it to Muslims. Every inch that Israel gives up, won't become "international". It will become Islamic. Jerusalem is considered a holy city to Islam. There's no reason to believe Jerusalem will be any different than the other two Muslim holy cities.

Your position seems to be. Israel should give up land. Much of which is perfect strategic enemy positions to fire on Israeli cities. Allow arms to come into the Palestinian territory. So there's a balance of power. Pull their security forces out of all "occupied" territory. Which really means, no Jews allowed in Palestinian territory. Because the Muslims will see any Jew business or Jewish school as a security problem.

Basically trust that after giving all the concessions. After making themselves extremely vulnerable to attacks and chaos. That their will be peace.

Even though, at the moment, the only reason a ISIS like group isn't rampaging it's way through the area is because of Israel.

So who's going to stop a revolution? Who's going to fill the power vacuum? Should Hamas be allowed to become the government in Palistine?

Under international law it's not up to Israel who gets control of Jerusalem.

Saying that giving up SOLE possession will automatically lead to SOLE Muslim possession is pure conjecture on your part, and would be no worse than what Israel is doing right now.

Like I've already said a million times, we can sit here and speculate what might happen if Israel starts respecting international laws, but until they do it's nothing but conjecture.
