Neighbor discovers 3 dead bodies next door
A family of three missing for nearly four weeks were all found dead inside their Minnesota home over the weekend. The Star Tribune said Collin Prochnow, a neighbor, became worried when packages began to pile up on the front porch of the family’s home. Prochnow said when he went over and peeked through a window, he made the shocking discovery. The report said he found three bodies lying on the floor dead, and a handgun next to them. Real estate records and neighbors have identified the bodies as 29-year-old David Crowley, 28-year-old Komel Crowley and their 5-year-old daughter, Rani Cowley, according to reports. Prochnow said the family’s dog was still alive, but very aggressive and wild. It’s possible the family may have been dead over the holidays. The Star Tribune spoke with Crowley’s father, Daniel, who said he had not heard from his son or his family over Christmas nor for New Year’s. Although the curtains to the home were wide open, no one had gone over to look inside or knock on the door. In fact, Prochnow said he thought the family was simply out of town and that was why he shoveled their driveway a few times when it snowed. He also told KARE that now that this tragedy has been discovered he does remember hearing gunshots one night back in December. Reports describe David Crowley as a filmmaker and screenwriter who had previously served in the Army. Neighbors told the Star Tribune they noticed a change in Crowley in the fall after he cut his hair and began wearing fatigues. As for Komel Crowley, she was a registered dietitian and worked from home. The investigation into this case continues and a motive has yet to be revealed.
