NCPD: Child Accidentally Shot During Parents' Argument Over Porn

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Authorities in North Charleston say a child was accidentally shot in the arm during an argument between her parents over porn.

An incident report revealed that on Tuesday evening, Nakia Barrow and the father of the 7-year-old victim were arguing at the front door of a N. Arco Lane apartment when a firearm went off.

Authorities were told the altercation was over pornography Barrow had found on the man's phone.

During the incident, officials learned Barrow pointed a pistol at him and the weapon discharged, striking the nearby child in the arm. The girl is expected to be OK after a neighbor transported her to an area hospital for treatment.

Barrow and the man are the biological parents of the victim.

She was charged with unlawful conduct towards a minor and domestic violence in the first degree.
