I can remember when I was like 5, I had some plastic cuffs and I put them on my mother but I forgot where I put the key. It took her 40 mins to get the damn things off and that was only after like 4 ppl had to come over to help out. Those cuffs were almost legit

Besides, if it was all just play, arresting the child's mother over something like that could, actually, harm the child - psychologically. There's no need to blow it all out of porportion and freak out the poor kid.

That being said, I duct-taped my kid to the wall about a foot above the floor.
However, it was his idea and he was about 10 at the time. His friends were begging to "go next". It was a riot.
Even worse: when the boy used to bring over new friends they had to be 'initiated', which is being held down by the other kids, gettin whipped cream sprayed on their faces and having the dog (the little dog in my avatar) lick it off.
Dang, I miss those kids. They're all off in college.

I have to say I have never considered doing anything this fucked up to my kids. I can't see a toddler being ok with this.
