The Greensboro News & Record reports that North Carolina mother has been sentenced to a minimum of 20 years in prison for 24 charges involving the prostitution of her mentally disabled teenage daughters for drug money. Two men were also sentenced in the case.

Teresa Vanover of Greensboro, North Carolina, has confessed to allowing local men to perform sexual acts on her daughters for $20 or less. Her charges included promoting prostitution of a person with severe, profound mental disabilities and 24 counts of felony child abuse. Two men were also sentenced in the case.

Vanover told police she forced her older daughter, 15 at the time, to allow sexual acts to be performed on her by prominent men in Eden in exchange for $5, $10 and $20. She would take her daughter to a barber shop, to the boat ramp at Draper's Landing and, in one case, to the house of [one of the men's] mother. Sometimes Vanover also engaged in sexual acts simultaneously or made her daughter watch as she had sex with one of the men, also collecting $20. Eventually the daughter refused to continue, and Vanover instead began to use her younger daughter, then 13.
Apparently the girls believed they were doing it to pay for the medical bills of their sick father. When he died in July of last year, the older daughter realized there were no medical bills left to pay and in September of 2015, she alerted police to the abuse.

"We don't have to do it anymore because daddy is dead," she said.

"This is one of the most disturbing cases factually I've heard in my 10 years on the bench," Wilkes County Superior Court Judge Mike Duncan said.

As Vanover left the courtroom after sentencing, she hugged her daughters and told them, "It's mommy's fault. I prostituted you guys. I have to face the consequences."

In addition to Vanover, one of the men who pleaded guilty received a 16-year sentence for statutory rape.

but for $10-15-$20 dollars? not only is she evil but she's a fucking moron, speaking from a business perspective.

the mom deserves a slow painful death, and each man should be castrated, legs amputated from the knee down, hands tied behind the back and left in a jail cell with general population knowing full well why they're in there to begin with.
