I see what you're saying. I thought their thinking was that a male would hit the female students too hard and that male students could handle being beaten by male staff members better than the female students could. Silly me. But if there is any concern about sexuality being brought into this, shouldn't they just not have the kids get beaten at school?

I wish they instituted the spanking rule for middle and elementary grades, some really bratty kids out there..... As for this case, I feel for her, even if she let the other copy off her, that person should retake the test and the consequences.

That's barbaric. I am all for discipline but spanking is ridiculous. Not to mention she is a beautiful young lady and the guy was probably getting off on it. If that was my daughter I would have broke the damn paddle over his head.
