I wouldn't put it past her being a niave little teenager as some sort of part in her neurotic drive to what I get the feeling is her just trying to seem cold. Cold as ice. Some people can be, some people are simply so messed up they gather a collective of delusions together to function, one would easily be saying that she found it enjoyable. I am not an optimist but I think she did feel something at some point. I am well aware if she didn't, she'd be up there will no one. Ted Bundy simply ignored that it ever happened and played into another persona. Jeffery Dahmer showed remorse, albeit not of the tear-full kind in his apologies. Point is every sicko is different in what they manufacture even unbeknownst to themselves to deal with these kinds of acts.
