That's what I was thinking. If he couldn't get in that room initially, before the Fire/Police got there, what exactly made him think he could do it later. Now obviously the answer is probably the grief of seeing the firemen give up but I'm sure it was much too late by then anyways.

I'm with Flaka, I would have rescued my child or burned too. Sounds like, since the child was breathing at first, that had they not tazed the man, he may have been able to save him.

Great comments from everyone. I would not want to live if my son died, so I would not be thankful if stopped while trying to save him. That being said, I believe the firefighters reason for being is to save lives and they didn't want to lose the dad. They handled the dad too harshly, IMO, but I woud listen to Kanda since he is a firefighter and has the training. Although, it was police officers, not FF that tased the dad.

i'm not a firefighter... when i said 'it's my job' i was referring to being a dad and protecting my children. sorry... i was unclear there.
