A DJ who played at a festival in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre (RS) died after a storm caused the collapse of one of the stages of the event on Sunday afternoon, 17.
DJ Kaleb Freitas played at the Assis Brasil Exposition Park in Esteio when the accident happened.
Another 3 people got injured. He was taken to a local hospital but could not resist the injuries.
The Civil Defense reported that there were 5,000 people participating in the event named Atmosphere, an electronic music festival.
In a Facebook note, the festival's organization said it followed all the regulations, processes and authorizations requested by the authorities to hold the festival, and said it will provide assistance to the injured and their families.
The storm that hit the region had winds of more than 100km/h. The capital of Rio Grande do Sul and its surroundings recorded hail and strong winds after the arrival of a cold front.
According to the Meteorological Watch of the Integrated Center of Command of Porto Alegre, there was already since Saturday, 16, forecast of storms and sales for the region.
The fall of the metal structure caused the death of DJ Kaleb Freitas, 30.
Kaleb was well-known among fans of electronic music. He used to always play Atmosphere, considered to be one of the biggest festivals of its kind in the state.
In social networks, friends, family and acquaintances paid homage and bid farewell to the artist.
"He was very dear to the crowd, a very good guy, a person loved by everyone," Jéssika Pilla, 30, told. She was Kaleb's close friend and childhood friend.
