Massachusetts Woman Sues FedEx for Marijuana Deliver
Woman sues FedEx over pot delivery 7 pounds of marijuana sent to Plymouth home Maryangela Tobin of Plymouth Massachusetts has filed a suit against FedEx after a package was delivered to her address. She says that when she signed for the package she thought it was a birthday present from her daughter. Upon opening the package she found tightly wrapped bundles of Marijuana and called police. Police have determined that the package contained 7 pounds of the Marijuana. Shortly after police retrieved the package and took a statement from Mrs Tobin a man knocked on the door and repeatedly asked Mrs. Tobin if she had his package. She slammed and bolted the door and called police once more who arrived and arrested the man who was still in the area. After complaining to FedEx officials Mrs. Tobin filed a lawsuit February 12 alledging that FedEx violated state privacy laws by giving out her address and putting her and her children in danger.. In spite of the arrest Mrs. Tobin has said she is very afraid of retribution from drug dealers and now is in fear for the lives of herself and her children. FedEx, based in Memphis Tenn., has declined to make any comments on the pending lawsuits. |

Re: Massachusetts Woman Sues FedEx for Marijuana Deliver
i don't understand certain things in this one. So both fedex and the woman didn't look properly at the address label ? Or did the one who sent the package accidentally put up a wrong address ? In that case the alledged receiver could have contacted the sender if and when he sent the package and/or why it hasn't arrived yet and then finding out the sender put down the wrong address so the receiver sped to that wrong address trying to get it before it was denied or opened by the wrong receiver. even if it had the right address on it, but offered by fedex to the wrong address, she was dumb enough to sign it without checking if it was for her so the end responsibility lays at her me thinks ? |

Re: Massachusetts Woman Sues FedEx for Marijuana Deliver
I am sure the sender would of notified the reciever where to pick up his package and what day it would be there. There was no reason for FedEx to even give out the address. Actually the woman has little proof that FedEx gave out her address other than the fact of the package being delivered. I don't see anything about it being delivered to a wrong address. |

Re: Massachusetts Woman Sues FedEx for Marijuana Deliver
The package was probably addressed to a random house on purpose, to be picked up by someone before the homeowner got home. The recipient just fucked up and had it sent to a house where someone was home. |
