The head of Prague's 1st Department said on Friday that the shooter from the Faculty of Arts was among the suspects in the case of the murders in the Klánovice Forest. He said there were a few days left to prevent the tragedy.
"Ballistics expertise has proven that the weapon used in the Klánovice Forest matches the weapon that was found in the house where the shooter from the university lived," police said on social media X.
Last week on Friday, an attacker shot and killed a thirty-two-year-old man and his two-month-old daughter in Prague's Klánovický les.
Hundreds of police officers took part in the massive search operation. The police did not find anyone or anything dangerous in the area. As of Friday afternoon, it was unclear who was behind the double murder.
Thursday's attack in the building of the Faculty of Philosophy on Jan Palach Square in the center of Prague claimed 13 lives, 25 people escaped with injuries, of which ten were seriously injured. The 24-year-old attacker also died.
