Maricopa County Delays Election Results

Dropboxes are legal in Arizona but ballot harvesting is not(https://www.azag.gov/criminal/eiu/ballot-harvesting). You are allowed to drop off ballots for a family member, a person living in the same household, or if you are a caregiver to that individual. Just before election day, The Justice Department stepped into an ongoing Arizona election lawsuit supporting a claim by the League of Women Voters of Arizona that monitoring ballot drop boxes can amount to illegal voter intimidation. The department said such “vigilante ballot security measures,” including filming voters at drop boxes, probably violates the federal Voting Rights Act. It's debatable on why the Justice Department wanted no one to monitor these kinds of practices.

Reuters fact check says "Social media users claiming that video footage of a Maricopa County drop box proves people dropped off fraudulent ballots during the Arizona midterm election are missing key context. It is legal to drop off ballots on behalf of other people in Arizona."
