A 33-year-old man who has fathered 30 kids is asking the state of Tennessee to give him a hand with his child support payments. Desmond Hatchett is having a tough time making ends meet while working a minimum wage job and seeing half of his paycheck get split up between his 11 baby mamas.

Incidentally, his score and 10 kids is a record for Knox County, and some of his kids receive as little as $1.49 a month once the money is divvied up. Hatchett last appeared in court in May 2009, when he had a paltry 21 kids to his name and said he had no intention of having more. Somehow, he found a way to add nine more to his legacy, so we're guessing he probably isn't done at 30.

I only have a high school education, (but, I like to think I have common sense, which is like any oxymoron anyway), but, why don't they use birth control? I don't get it! It's a lot cheaper than a baby or 31!

I feel very sorry for the kids, who will end up dead or in jail.

I always take my own precautions because I never met anyone with whom I wanted to have children or who could afford to give me the money it costs to raise one these days. Children were not in my plans.

People don't think past the sex at that moment and it's really sad for these kids. Kids should be wanted or given up to people who want them and cannot have their own.

I believe only one parent can claim a child on welfare.

I don't know if the mothers work or not, but, if they are getting money, I don't think he can.

He should be ashamed of himself! For $1.49 a month, each child gets to choose one item from a $.99 menu - either food or a drink! Pathetic excuse for a human being!
