FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) - A Fond du Lac man got his hand stuck in a car's gas tank after he reached in to try to retrieve a Snickers candy bar he saw inside.

The Fond du Lac Reporter says firefighters freed 20-year-old Earr Stokes on Tuesday afternoon.

Capt. Tony Knecht says firefighters cut the filler pipe, then accessed the backside of the gas tank opening to release Stokes' fingers. Once he was free, emergency personnel helped take the pipe off his hand. Officials stood by with a hose during the cutting in case there were sparks.

Stokes' cousin, Tyrone Williams, says Stokes happened to look into the gas tank and saw the candy bar. He says someone had removed it from the wrapper and jammed it into the gas tank.

Damn. That's some malicious shit though. Snickers is certainly not conducive to a well running engine. :p

A 20-year-old Fond du Lac man allegedly sold cocaine to undercover officers.

Earr T. Stokes appeared in court Tuesday on two counts of manufacture/deliver cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug trafficking place.

At about 1:30 p.m. Jan. 12, Stokes allegedly sold cocaine for $100 to an undercover officer at an apartment on Forest Avenue, according to the criminal complaint.

A similar transaction took place Jan. 20, according to the complaint.

Officers executed a search warrant on Stokes' home, 130 Forest Ave., Apt. 19, and allegedly found cocaine, marijuana, pills, a marijuana pipe, gem packs and a digital scale.

Bail was set at $400.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 8.
