Re: Man Hacks Into Baby Monitor Through Wireless IP

Hmm. I don't know how those work. The last time I saw a baby monitor it was barely better than a Fisher Price walkie talkie. The parents heard the guy screaming from their room but it sounded like the man was in the baby's room. So somehow he made his voice come out...
for some reason, i wasnt getting this but my wife explained it to me... she said 'imagine waking up and hearing a man's voice on the monitor so that you thought a man was in the room with the kids. that was likely the point... to scare the parents, not the kids' made sense once she explained it to me

Good point. lol Does that mean that there is a mic only on the baby's end but a speaker on both ends?

Re: Man Hacks Into Baby Monitor Through Wireless IP

At first I read the part about the monitor rotating and thought "they are claiming a walkie talkie rotated?" but then I realized it's 2014 and it's probably a camera and not a walkie talkie. Lol
I thought the exact same thing at first. I was like, "If a baby monitor is moving on it's own that's a classic horror movie sign..gtfo!"

then I used my brain and realized the technology we now have.
