I don't have a big problem with this, rats aren't any more inherently dirty than any type of animal. Plenty of people have pets that hang around at their dinner table and don't think anything of it. That said, rats piss EVERYWHERE, all the time, and it smells awful.

I promise you none of the cafe's rats were plucked from the London alleys. it's true the typical city "vermin" are famous for being filthy and disease ridden, but I can assure you their domestic counterparts are quite clean!
