A SHOPPER was left horrified when she picked up a loaf of bread from her local supermarket — and found a mouse inside.
The woman had been loading the loaf into her boot in the store's car park when she noticed the slices had holes in them.

She then spotted a tail among the bread before realising the rodent was ALIVE and still scurrying around inside the bag.

The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, said: "I was horrified... I didn't even want to hold the bag I was that shocked. Imagine a rat in a loaf of bread you eat every day of your life ... it's traumatising."

Authorities are investigating how the mouse got in to the packet of Helga's Bread at Coles Supermarket in Townsville, north-eastern Australia.

A spokesman for Goodman Fielder, which own Helga's Bread, said an investigation had shown it was a mouse, not a rat, that had chewed a small hole in the bag of bread.

He said the Department of Health had inspected the company's Townsville bakery and determined that they "did not think'" the rodent got into the bag on the premises.

Funny thing happen yesterday in my apartment complex, this man 50 something years with hot wife and all, he is going to his car and walk by the laundry room. Outside the door of laundry room was a cicada, one of those bugs that make loud noise like "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" and look like a fly the size of your thumb

He walk by the laundry door and the cicada got surprise and went "EEEEEE" and the dude JUMPED like a girl and shriek lmao I was smoking cigarette and everyone outside who saw started laughing
