Re: Letter to Diane Feinstein from a U.S. Marine

At the beginning of your post I was about to give you a fuck off, glad I caught the sarcasm
I almost did the same thing! Then I saw you "thanked" the post and I was like, "Wha...?"

I need to read things in their entirety before jumping to conclusions.

Thanks, Glass, by the way for posting this! I will not lay down my weapons voluntarily. I dare them to take them from me.

You're right. Why should we have to tell them what we think? They should know.

Re: Letter to Diane Feinstein from a U.S. Marine

Before you talk shit, get your facts straight. He's not fighting for the freedom to own an assault rifle.

Assault Rifles have been illegal to own since the Federal Assault Weapons Ban of 1994.

I bet you're one of the idiots calling semi-automatic rifles " assault weapons."
I don't talk shit, but it's cool if you think an opinion other than your own equates to such.

I wouldn't know a semi-automatic OR an assault weapon if one jumped up n kissed my ass so, no, I'm not "one of the idiots calling semi-automatic rifles 'assault weapons'." I'm actually an idiot that knows little to nothing about guns!

I simply don't understand where it will end. Where does Boston Sr. draw the line? Will he ever let Boston Jr. go anywhere that he won't be protected by daddy and his weapon(s)? Will choice of school be based, not on education standards, but on whether or not the teachers are armed? Will little Boston Jr. ever feel ... free ...? It's just my opinion that it would be hard to feel 'free' growing up surrounded by adults who are living every day preaching their right to bear arms because the constitution says everyone has the right to protect themselves. 24/7 these kids will feel they need protection. Just doesn't sound like freedom to me.

I'm not political nor passionate about the matter, it's just how I feel.

Moving on ...

Re: Letter to Diane Feinstein from a U.S. Marine

I just don't feel it's right to punish all for the actions of one/or a few.
Neither do I. This we agree on.

I never claimed to be for or against because I don't live there so I have no vested interest.

It's just a scenario that could, in reality, play out. How tragic would it be if his own son fell victim to a legal gun owners craze? In essence his letter will have given that legal gun owner the right to bear the weapon that killed his child.

Of course it "could" play out. Every horrible death you can think of "could" play out. Will they? Not likely.

And " a legal gun owner's craze?" Are you really trying to push that shit as a legitimate argument? You make gun owners sound like trigger happy rednecks.

How many times do you hear about men or women, who legally own, and responsibly handle firearms, killing people? The ones who kill people more often than not, acquire their guns illegally.

Absolutely! I do what I can

And that's good to hear. I see no reason to register my weapons, because they are for the sole purpose of defending my home, and my family. The government has no business knowing what I own.

So walking into a gun shop that requires no background check is illegal?

Why does the shop exist then?

In a country which doesn't trust its government. has paranoia coming out of its ears and no-go areas for anything but an armed brigade of heavily armed SWAT team, you sure do spout a lot of shit.

I'd rather not live in a country where someone with a gun can take a disliking to you because you somehow tresspassed on their property by accident and they shot you.

Or you got into a fight and heeey, I GOT A GUN! Why dont I shoot you and claim self defense?

You telling me some white boy from the suburbs would find it easier to get a weapon in the hood than some random gun shop or his own mothers collection?

When the next so-called "crazy" person goes ape and shoots your precious American life to smithereens, I'll be here to remind you that you have 0 control over your weapons and absolutely no chance in hell of stopping it happening because you think your guns will protect you.

Its like a circle of denial, it becomes more problematic as time goes on. Please tell me when someone you know gets wasted by a "crazy", I'll gladly point out the flaws in your gun controls, your access to weapons and you ridiculous carry permits.
