Report: Two suspects barricaded, surrounded by police

Disagreement in France's ruling Socialist party on whether Marine le Pen's extreme right-wing Front National should participate in the mass rally planned for Paris on Sunday, the Guardian reports.

The FN's treasurer earlier tweeted that to exclude his party from Sunday’s rally will be exclude 30% of the French electorate, according to the report

The hacker group Anonymous announced on their twitter account that they prepare an attack on fundamentalist movements sites and twitter account in retaliation for the bloody attack against Charlie Hebdo yesterday.

Anonymous sent this message: "Expect a massive frontal reaction from us because the struggle for the defense of those freedoms is the foundation of our movement."

Anonymous has also suspended "temporarily" attacks against the Ministry of Defence.

Google is donating €250,000 ($296,000) to Charlie Hebdo, the satirical French magazine.

The search engine's donation comes from its "press innovation fund," the Guardian reports, and is part of a massive outpouring of support for the magazine. French publishers are donating another €250,000, and the remaining staff are promising that next week's edition will have a print run of 1 million. The normal circulation of Charlie Hebdo is 60,000.
