AR-15 is a completely civilian gun, it is nothing special. Nothing more than a hunting rifle, it's just scary looking to you. That is all that sets it apart from any other rifle. Move along.

"As usual", most mass shooting don't even involve an AR-15, which is not an "assault rifle", most mass shootings are carried out with handguns.

As usual, the gun-apologists will say anything to deflect any criticism of their 'toys'. It's such bullshit to suggest that an AR-15 isn't for all intents and purposes, an 'assault rifle'. The MAIN difference is that a true assault rifle has selective fire which the AR-15 lacks, but with the advent of the bump stock...there's little functional difference, to suggest otherwise is splitting hairs. Among the main differences between the AR-15 and say the M-4 is barrel length, rifling, barrel chambers, available ammo calibers and powder loads, but when shooting up a church, I sincerely doubt you'd be any less DEAD when shot by a terrorist with an AR and one with an M-4. |
