Re: Large Soft Drinks To Be Illegal In New York
Ridiculous! I think it's great they added water and juice to schools, but, when you're finished high school, you make your own choices - good or bad! KFC has already gotten rid of their jumbo cups several months ago in Philadelphia. I didn't connect it to this until now. I figured maybe I was the only one buying that size on two days when I babysat. It lasted for my shift. |

Re: Large Soft Drinks To Be Illegal In New York
if the gov would try to bring down the prices of healthy food vs fast food-THAT would make a diff! i would much rather have a cranberry juice w/lemon on ice but that's $3 & up while a soda might be $1. Or a salad $5 where a burger & fries is $2.99. sometimes i just skip eating so if i miss a few meals i can have what i really want. and another thing, u go to get an ice water but they charge the same for that as they do a soda. so naturally everyone picks the soda. alot of times i just want to chew on the ice that doesn't have all that clorine after taste- alot of places even charge for ice even if u have your own cup! :( |

I swear I'm about done with this fucking country... Hey let's limit alcohol too since it is far more dangerous to one's health than pop. |

Well, you did it to yourselves. I still don't quite understand why make such a big deal out of it. The largest drink you could have here is the legendary 16 oz and we pay five times as much as you do for it. Imagine paying 11 dollars for a burger and fries - like we do in Europe.

This is true, angel. Even at the grocery store, healthy food is three or four times more expensive than the fatty, processed crap. If you are in the US, you can just buy a big bag of ice and keep it in an insulated container as long as it's not too hot. I did that when I had no A/C in my old car, lol! |
