For a moment it seemed like the night sky was ablaze.
But these were not shining stars but thousands of flying Chinese lanterns that were released above Poznan in central Poland on June 21.
The spectacular sight was organised to mark the shortest night of the year, known as Midsummer Night or St John's Night.
