Lance Armstrong Stripped of Titles and Banned for Life
Lance Armstrong to be stripped of Tour de France titles and banned for life as he gives up fight over drug charges Seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong faces being stripped of his titles and banned from cycling for life after announcing he will not contest charges levelled by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). ![]() American Armstrong said in a statement that he is "finished with this nonsense" and insisted he is innocent but did not want to spend any further effort clearing his name. He said: "There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, 'Enough is enough'. For me, that time is now. "I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in winning my seven Tours since 1999." However Armstrong's achievements are set to be wiped from the record books. Asked what actions USADA intended to impose, spokeswoman Annie Skinner said in an email: "A loss of all results from August 1, 1998 and a lifetime ban from participating any sport sanctioned by a signatory to the WADA Code." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/oth...g-charges.html |

Re: Lance Armstrong Stripped of Titles and Banned for Life
Its laughable to think that any of the contenders in Lances races werent doping. At that level they almost all dope. Trust me. I still have stuff with Balco on it. |

Its easy to dope when caffeine only came off the doping agent list in 2004. For all we know you could eat a freaking hamburger that contains some shit that's on that frickin list...

Re: Lance Armstrong Stripped of Titles and Banned for Life
This has always a serious topic that comes around every once in a while in every sport. My stance on it is this, either legalize PED's altogether (easy solution) or have stiffer penalties for the athletes that get caught using. I prefer the latter just because if allow this shit to happen we indirectly force the next generation of kids to use steroids just to compete. It's a vicious cycle that's been hurting sports at all levels.
