A Los Angeles woman has been accused of pushing an elderly Korean woman and running off, with some claiming the attack could be racially motivated.

Surveillance footage shows the unidentified 83-year-old victim walking down the street in Koreatown when a woman shoves her down to the ground.

A woman who said she was a friend of a witness, said that the assailant later identified as Patty Garcia shouted “white power” as she attacked the old woman.

Accompanying photos show the victim on the ground covering her face, as well as Garcia being arrested nearby.

Another witness told the Los Angeles Times that he did not see the attack, but that the 27-year-old woman began yelling the n-word and “power is power.”

However, the Los Angeles Police Department told that the incident is not being investigated as a hate crime and that detectives had not made mention of racial slurs.

Police did not have any information about the condition of the victim.

It was not immediately clear what may have led to the attack, though police told that Garcia, who was also identified as Alexis Duvall, was homeless and could have been mentally ill.

You push a 83 Year old man or woman down and they hit their head just right and it will kill them. My tiny 83 yr old mom fell in the produce section once (she was okay) when I went to grab a cart, but no one offered to help her and Thank God she was forgetful, I don't know how I would've answered that; the world broke her heart in little ways every day.
