I doubt it. Insurance policies would probably not contain a catch all provision that would cover something like this. Even if the insurance policy did cover this, the policy limits couldn't be more than $2-5 million. The premiums on an insurance policy that would cover a loss like this would be $1,000,000 or more a year, which no one would be interested in paying.

Ya, insurance usually doesn't cover illegal activities. And not to the tune of 139 million dollars.

What kind of whack ass insurance do you have? Ever heard of burglary, robbery, and theft? You can drive drunk, crash into somebodys house, and your insurance will stay pay for the damages. You can OD on drugs, and your health insurance will still pay to save your dumb ass. Even if youre shot whilst robbing a bank, your health insurance will still pay for your treatment. The list goes on. |

You made my point for me. You can drive drunk and wreck into someone's home like you said. And your insurance will cover the damages to property and people. But they will not cover any court proceedings. They will not cover you if that home owner sues you for mental anguish. They won't cover your home if your meth lab burns your house down. I get what you're saying, but it's not that simple. That's a huge chunk of change, and there was no property damage, no personal injury. |

But if you are involved in a "domestic disturbance" and intentionally drive your car into someone's house, auto insurance will not pay for the property damage. Your insurance will not pay for any injury or damage caused or resulting from your willfully committing an illegal act. There are a ton of gray areas written into insurance policies, the company will make a profit off of you no matter what.
