Kentucky Woman Found Dead in Her Shed, Partially Eaten by Dogs

CORBIN, Ky. (WATE) - A Kentucky woman was found dead and partially eaten by her dogs on Tuesday afternoon.

The 68-year-old lived in a shed on Little Spruce Creek Road in Corbin. Her name has not yet been released.

Trash covers the ground outside of her property and is piled up inside the shed where she was found by her neighbor John Kinman. He says he was going there to drop off dog food for the twenty dogs she kept around.

"So I go down there and the terrible smell coming out of the windows and both the dogs barking in the window barking," Kinman said.

He looked through a window, saw her body on the bed and called for help.

"She was dead, I mean there was a million flies all around her," Kinman said.

"68-years-old and living in these kind of conditions is terrible," said Whitley County Sheriff Colan Harrell.

Harrell says her body was partially eaten by her two dogs.

"This is the instinct of a dog. They are your best friend but in the right conditions they will chew on you."

Harrell says the Whitley County Animal Shelter is taking care of the dogs. No foul play is suspected, but the investigation is ongoing.

Two dogs or 20? They mentioned both numbers. I think I am going to bite my dog now just in case she ever thinks about eating me.

Re: Kentucky Woman Found Dead in Her Shed, Partially Eaten by Dogs

probably a good thing she only had a shed cause looks like she was a hoarder too. Imagine the mess if she had a regular size house. She still gets a regular size grave.

Im sure plenty of people knew about it, most likely even family members. It seems these days the amount of empathy people has is In the sum of small hand out, bout the size of a bag of dog food....
