Judge: ‘Messiah’ Is Not an Acceptable Baby Name
"It's a title that has only been earned by one person," said Tennessee judge Lu Ann Ballew of Cocke County ![]() This photo provided by Heidi Wigdahl of WBIR-TV shows seven-month old Martin DeShawn McCullough being held by his mom Jaleesa Martin. Top 10 Wacky Celebrity Baby Names Yeah, to call him "Messiah" will make is life easier for sure. Questionable decision, though. P.S. And to Jason Lee: shame on you for Pilot Inspektor, seriously |

Re: Judge: ‘Messiah’ Is Not an Acceptable Baby Name
These celebrity children's names are totally fucked up but the judge's statement is also fucked up! What is so wrong about "Messiah" when you're allowed to call your child Jermajesty? Religion should not be a reason for a sentence...even in Tennessee. |

Re: Judge: ‘Messiah’ Is Not an Acceptable Baby Name
This is a joke. No Judge has the right to tell a parent what to call their child. Whether its Adolf Hitler or Olga Gofuckagoat it doesn't matter. The responsibility to bring up a child belongs with the parent. If and when the state decides that a parent is incapable of bringing up a child without putting it in danger then it seizes control of that child, whether this is right or wrong, or where the line should be drawn, is another matter entirely. The fact is that no Judge is a high enough Judge to tell a parent what the fuck to call their offspring, or what it should eat, or what the fuck the parent decides to teach it. About time for a bit of people power over there I think, Turkey style.
